Hey friends! I’m Laney, a Pediatric Feeding Therapist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, soon to be mom and person behind the screen of @baby.feeding.development. As a Feeding Therapist and Lactation Consultant, I am very familiar with the breast pumps on the market; however, when I came upon the decision of which breast pump I wanted to order for myself I was surprisingly overwhelmed. I figured if I was overwhelmed despite my professional experience, many other moms are likely in the same boat as well!
So I did some research (and by some, I mean A LOT), and created my “Breast Pump Comparison Guide.”
The guide includes a comprehensive review of 13 different breast pumps that are commonly covered by insurance. There is an easy-to-read chart which provides concrete data and information (e.g. price, suction strength, flange sizes, etc.) about each breast pump so you can easily compare them. In addition, there is a full page, comprehensive review of each breast pump which includes information such as pros and cons, awards received and common reviews.
I wanted to include common trends seen in the reviews of each breast pump, because the reviews are coming from moms who are actually using these breast pumps in their daily lives and they can provide valuable information for us! It is a perfect mix of concrete facts combined with reviews from moms’ personal experiences. You will also find considerations for each breast pump brand/company (e.g. comparison between different breast pumps offered within a specific brand like Medela, flange sizes sold by each company, etc.), general breast pumping tips, flange sizing recommendations, and insurance information. I found this guide to be very helpful myself, and I hope you do as well!
